Which form shall I use please??

Post by sarahjane » Mon Aug 25, 2014 9:05 pm

I was granted discretionary leave to remain in October 2009 until 2012. This was then extended in May 2013 until may 2016. In April 2010 I married a British citizen and have 3 children, who are all UK Citizens. I would now like to apply for Indefinite Leave to remain. What really is the best way forward. My husband has suggested that I could 'skip' the ILR route and apply directly for British Citizenship. Please help, I'm confused.

You should apply for ILR using Set (O).

No need to do English Language Test or Life in the UK test.

You husband is not correct. You cannot apply for British Citizenship directly.

What was your leave before DLR? Did you have spouse leave before DLR?
