Reconsideratiion pending, have admission for postgrad study

Dear All,

My Application for Leave to Remain under human rights was refused on April 23rd, 2013.
I applied for judicial review but the order was refused by the judge on February 4th, 2014.
Further representation was made on July 1st 2014 asking for a reconsideration.
I was sent an IS96 form in May and I have been reporting every two weeks since then.
I was then sent an IS75 and IS76 form asking me to submit any further evidence to support my case. I sent this in as requested on the 18th of August and still awaiting their response.

While all this was going on, I applied for a postgraduate course at Newcastle University and my application has been successful.
I am supposed to start on Monday September 22, 2014. I have been classified as an international student and before I can register, I need to provide a valid leave to remain or a student visa with my passport.

I do not want to miss this opportunity so, any advice on steps I could take would be highly welcomed.

Can you not return home and apply normally as an international student with a valid offer? Have you the money to pay for the course?

According to my solicitor, If I were to return home now my application with the UKBA will be automatically withdrawn and it is highly unlikely that they will grant me student visa because of my immigration history:

In 2005, entered as a visitor aged 16.
In 2007, applied as a dependent of someone with limited leave to remain.
It was refused in 2008, went to tribunal and that was also refused.
An appeal was made but never got a response.
In 2012, applied for Discretionary leave to remain under human rights which was refused last year (as stated in my previous post).
