I used to follow the timeline for July and thought to post my application status. It took 12 weeks for my application and got approval on 23/Oct.

Funny part was, I called HO on 22/Oct and they said, its still under processing and it might take up to 6 months. I got the letter of approval very next day.

Just called the HO call centre and my application is still under consideration. No notes from the case worker and no request of additional documents. My application should be straightforward: EU citizen, been living here for 8 years, language requirements OK, no criminal offence, also CRB/DBS clear (journalist in my home country). Lots of July and August applicants (after 16th July) are receiving the approval letter...

If it makes you happy i am in the same boat as you my fees were deducted on 15th july 14 still waiting, just about a week ago I received documents but still waiting for the final approval letter.

P.s I am based in newham aswell but dint use checking serivce.

I have recieved my approval letter last Wednesday 22nd Oct 2014 from the Home Office and also recieved the ceremony letter on Saturday 25th Oct 2014 from the council. It took almost three months for the whole process to complete from application to confirmation. Below are my details/ timelines

I totally agree with you, should be the same time line for all applicants, theygot their fees and need to work hard.

On 18/07, received on 22/07, and still waiting.
Would you mind if I know your situation please.
It is boring to wait all this time and you don't know how long we need to wait more, calling them won't give you any real update.

The good thing is I had sent a Special delivery envelope with my degree certificate and so the approval letter and my certificate were returned in that.

I called up the council and they say that they don't have my name in the system yet. I have to wait until my name comes up in their list to book the ceremony.
