OCI now or wait for merger of OCI & PIO

Hi,

with today's new of modi announcing that OCI & PIO will be merged in couple of months, I wanted to know whether it is advantage to get OCI or wait for merger?

I see advantage of getting OCI as merger may "dilute" some of the OCI clauses? e.g. OCI people can apply for indian citizenship while PIO cannot.

I think merger is only advantageous to PIO holder?

Any thoughts.
