Absences - 180 days and 450 days

Post by GerganaGG » Mon Nov 24, 2014 1:55 pm

Hi guys,

First of all, thank you to anyone who can help me.

I have been in UK for just over 5 years now, arrived in September 2009 as a student, now I work full time and applying for Naturalization. I have the following question - During the first year of study I was in and out of the country more often. I don't have absences more than 450 days over the 5 year period but during 2009-2010 I have more than 180 for sure. Do I still qualify so I can apply now or should I wait until next September when I came back for year 2 of uni (after that long absence in year one, I have't been away for as long).

Also, I don't remember the exact dates of travel, what kind of evidence (if any) I need to provide along with my application?

Please advise.

Thank you and Kind Regards,

Gergana

It is fine that you were absent for 180 days in one year five years ago as only in the final year you should not be absent for more than 90 days.
I am sometimes wrong.
