Help please

Post by Vannagold » Fri Dec 19, 2014 6:25 pm

My aunt was born to English speaking parents in Southern Rhodesia 1945. However she was given up for adoptin in 1948/49 to a catholic mission. She was never registered as a child. Has no records of her parents. All she has a the original adoption certificate from the court with her mothers name.

She still upto this date has not been registered. Zimbabwe will not register, so really she is stateless.

Any idea if she could apply for British citizenship.

Many thanks

I'm at the limit of my knowledge I'm afraid, best wait for others.

For the first time, you made me "laugh out loud" lol

It might be "complicated easy"to start from somewhere if she lives in Britain, otherwise will be very hard I'm afraid.
