Counter signatory for first UK passport

Hi there,

I'm in the process of applying for my first UK passport after receiving citizenship this week. I understand one needs a counter signatory. I have a friend who is a UK citizen and a Qualified accountant which works at a financial services firm in the UK, but she qualified as an accountant in Canada. Would this be acceptable?

I do not have any other questions, I was just being a bit paranoid about it. I called up the Passport helpline and asked as well and they said it's fine.

No need to be paranoid about passport application.
Passport application is only refused if the person is not entitled to a passport so you won't lose your fee for counter signatory.
