Applied for fiancée visa, worried about mistakes in form

Post by imb01 » Fri Apr 10, 2015 10:11 am

Hello there,

I applied for a fiancée visa a few days ago. We supplied a huge amount of information (several kilos of paperwork!) in an effort to prove everything in the application, so we don't lack for proof. However, there was so much paperwork, I'm a little concerned that I might have missed something or made a small mistake in the Appendix 2 because I re-printed a few pages of the Appendix a couple of times when making corrections.

We were very careful gathering all the paperwork, but minutes before I had my appointment, I noticed I'd simply skipped a question on one of the sheets of the Appendix. I couldn't believe my eyes and corrected it, but now I'm really paranoid!

So, basically: looking at our application, it is clear that we have a genuine relationship, and that other matters (finances, accommodation, proof of English) are in order. If there is a small mistake somewhere, will we be notified and given a chance to correct it? Seems crazy that I may be rejected for something insignificant, I'd like to think the UKBA is more reasonable than that, but I'd really, really appreciate reassurance!

They are most interested in if you meet the financial requirements, bank statements, pay slips and the like.

I went in person and they didn't look at most of the supporting information.

So not very much attention is paid to the forms? (Online or Appendix 2)
