Tier 2 General -New ILR Rules

Post by Aam33 » Wed Jul 16, 2014 7:08 am

Hi,
I am currently on Tier 2 G, since May 2013, i am on 28k pa. With the new rule for ILR to have 35K or above salary depending on when I will be eligible for ILR, wanted to confirm if this rule applies for total tenure of Tier2 G or just the last year ?

I have got a new job and will be switching to Tier2 G with this new firm. Will I still be eligible for ILR, If I get my Pay including incentives to 35k or above?

you only have to satisfy the salary requirement for ILR at the time when you apply

yes (35.5k from April 18) or the appropriate salary as per code of practice if that is higher

Hi,

I wanted to check if I can get a tier 2 G for 3yr or they can also issue it for 4 years, or 5 Years.

I am currently on Tier 2 G since April 2013 and will be shortly changing the firm hence will have to change the sponsor to another company. I have been on Tier 2 General only for 18 Month ( as in October 2014), and if I apply now, will they issue a 5 year Visa or only a 3 Years Visa, as I will be 6 months short to complete my 5 years on Tier 2 General if they grant me only 3 year visa. Kindly suggest.

Thanks and Regards

the length of your leave will depend on the period of engagement stated in the CoS but since there is a 6 year cap on your stay under T2G it cannot be longer than to April 19.

Hi,

My Company does not pay me on time now, as we recently lost a big project, however we also got a new project which needs our attention and is important for the company to survive. Our MD personally spoke to us and told us that the he will make part payment of Salary until company get this project develops. He will pay the remaining salary later on... when the company survives. We know that we can pull this up but will take time..
But I am worried will that effect my Current Tier 1 Visa status and furthermore my PR... ?
