Hello,
a friend of mine is applying for a purple registration certificate (Tier 2 General). His employer is a licensed employer so he has a sponsorship number.
He was asked to supply an English certificate, so he needs to get one as soon as possible.
We have found that Paerson offers an English test, but we are not sure if this one is accepted for the visa application. On their website [1] they say: "Please note that from 6 April 2015 PTE Academic cannot be used to prove English language ability as part of a UK visa application."
But they also write: "These changes do not affect the use of PTE Academic by people from: the European Union, (...)"
My friend is a EU citizen, so according to the Paerson webiste he could use this test as proof of English (from what we understood). The problem is that we can't find the test listed on the gov.uk list of Approved English language tests [2].
The question is whether this test can be used to get the visa or should he apply for some other test (from list [2])? The other tests have available test slots later than the Paerson PTE.
Thank you!
