FLR(M) Questions

Post by Marin2342 » Tue Nov 17, 2015 12:52 pm

Hi All,
My wife is on Tier 1(General) Dependent visa and though she completed 5 years in UK, I (main applicant) am applying for my ILR via 10 years route so we can't apply ILR for my wife and unfortunately we need to apply FLR(M) for her. I have few questions regarding her application and hope you guys can help.

1. As its the initial FLR(M) application for my wife, do we still have to provide 2 years cohabitation documents?

2. If the answer to above question is Yes, then I believe these documents need to be from 6 different sources. We need to cover period from November 2013 to October 2015. I am confused how to cover these 24 months. Does that mean 24 months bank statements, 24 months Electricity bills, 24 months Water bills, 24 months Council tax bills etc. OR
atleast one document for each month between Nov 2013 to Oct 2015 OR
Just random documents between this period.

3. How do I need to prove financial requirements of £18600? How many previous months bank statements and payslips?

4. Do we need to provide original marriage certificate with English translation. This was provided to Homeoffice at her intial Tier 1(General) dependent application from backhome. The English translation I have is 5 years old. Is it outdated?

I will appreciate if someone please answer above queries. Many Thanks in advance :)

1. Yes

2. Not for every month. It needs to be from 6 sources spread evenly throughout the 24 months, a selection of documents for every 3/4 months in either joint names or addressed individually to the same address.

3. 6 months payslips and 6 months bank statements. You will also need to provide a letter from your employer detailing your employment particulars.

4. Yes. Translation should be fine.

She will also have to pay the immigration health surcharge of £500 before submitting her application.

Is there any particular reason why you don't want to apply for ILR based on your Tier 1 and 5 years residence?

Many Thanks CR001 for your replies. The reason for the 10 years application was that I couldn't meet the required income to get the required points for my ILR so opted for 10 years route.

I have another question re English language requirement for FLR(M) visa. My wife is going for A1 exam on Thursday 19th November and her visa is valid till 21st November. Will she get the result straight away after her exam? I believe we only need to provide a reference number as its all electronic now and don't need to send the certificate. Will we be able to get the pass reference number the same day or will it arrive later in the post? If it arrives later in the post, then can we send FLR(M) application without the pass reference number and send it later once we receive?
