I have been redundent while under a tier 2 visa employemnt

Post by Kbs » Mon Jan 18, 2016 7:25 pm

Hi All, I have an unfortunate situation at my job where I have been made redundant after two years of employment under tier 2 general visa. in my contract stated that i have 3 months of notice, which my employer is happy to put me on a gardening leave for three months and i get paid for three months but i dont go to work. so could you please clarify for me if this time is apart from 60 days that UKBA gives me to either find a job or leave the country?

It should not be. The 60 days (when you get the letter) is from after your employer notifies HO your employment has ended (ie no more salary paid).

No. You can't transfer.
Transfer is only possible - when your current company is taken over by another company, then you can transfer to the new company under TUPE after new company gets their license. .
