Additional Documents After Visa Submission

Hi everyone,

I submitted by Tier 2 (General) application from Australia last Thursday.
I later realised that I should have included my previous passports showing my previous travel history to the UK with my application.
The next day, I wrote a cover letter and enclosed my previous passports and dropped them into the visa application centre. The woman who accepted my documents said she would 'see what they say'.

Do you think that the ECO will accept these documents, even though they were submitted late?

I know that it is possible to vary an application if applying within the UK, but it seems like the terms are different when applying outside of...
