What is the difference between the Tier 2 General visas?

Post by voiceofthepurple » Thu Jan 28, 2016 7:54 am

In the home office website https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general I can see the following:

Tier 2 General (more than 3 years)
Tier 2 General (up to 3 years)

What is the difference? How do I know which one to select and how much do you pay for the health surcharge for each of them?

Thanks.

If your CoS is for up to 3 years (difference between start to end date), then you need to select Tier 2 General (up to 3 years).

If it's more than 3 years, then select Tier 2 General (more than 3 years).

And pay for health surcharge accordingly.
