Is there any extra working hours on Tier 2 ICT?

Hi,

My name is Vikas and I came to UK on 19 Sep 2010 on Tier 2 ICT visa. Since then, I have been in UK. My question is, can I do any part time job in my domain while I am on Tier 2 ICT? If yes, what is the upper limit. One of my friend was saying that there is a provision to work on Tier 2 ICT visa but I was not able to find any reference for the same so just thought of asking you experts.

I think you can, ISTR 20 hours but PAYE (not freelance) and in same domain.

It may be a stupid question but worth asking. What do you mean by ISTR and PAYE? I am sorry, I don't know much about it.

I think you can, ISTR 20 hours but PAYE (not freelance) and in same domain.

That's for the Tier 2 General visa Wanderer. vikasverma is on an Intra-company Transfer visa.

On a Tier 2 ICT visa you can only work for your sponsor in the job described on the CoS, unless it is voluntary work. No second job allowed.

What you can and can’t do

You can:

work for your sponsor in the job described in your certificate of sponsorship
do voluntary work
study as long as it doesn’t interfere with the job you’re sponsored for
travel abroad and return to the UK
bring family members with you

You can’t:

get public funds
start working before you get a visa
