Time limit to re-entry for family visitor visa

Hello Experts,

I had my parents here on visitor visa to stay for 5 months and now they are back to India three weeks back. We had applied for 6 months visa which is obviously finished now.

I am planning to call them again, considering they just went back, is there any time limit in between that i can sponsor them to come back to the UK on visit? Do I have to provide any specific reason in their visa application? If not i believe I would like to go for multi-year visitor visa to avoid applying visa quite often.

Six months in every year, but the real test is 'genuine visitor' and five month visits are bound to raise flags.

2, 5 and 10 year visit visas are subject to the same rules, and you need a record of several 6 months visit visas, not sure the 5 month stay will help with that.

Does that mean its unlikely to grant a visa again since they have stayed for 5 months? Also you have mentioned 6 months in every year, Does that mean I should not apply their visa for the next 6 months?
