Please find enclosed my application as a young person for the Highly Skilled Migrant Visa.
I have attached the following documentation to support this application:
1. Age – 5 points claimed
· Certified copy of XXXXX passport showing date of birth as XXXX – age 27. Also showing current United Kingdom working holiday visa, due to expire XXXXXXX.
2. Educational Background – 25 points claimed
· Letter from University of XXXXXXX confirming Bachelor of Commerce degree conferred XXXXXX.
· Certificate of admission to the Institute of Chartered Accountants XXXXXX as of XXXXXXXXx.
3. Work Experience – 35 points claimed
· Letter from XXXXX testifying to graduate level work experience from XXXXX to XXXXX – 6 months.
· Letter from XXXXX testifying work experience gained at a university graduate level for the period XXXXXXX - 3 years 8 months.
4. Past Earnings – 25 points claimed
· Copy of SA100 self assessment UK tax return as submitted to Inland Revenue for 2003-2004 tax year.
· Dividend certificates and P60 for 2003-2004 tax year.
· Letter from XXXXXX.. , my accountant and company secretary, supporting my income claim and attesting I actively work through a Limited Company.
5. Appendix – Other Useful Enclosures
· Proof of savings.
· Job Advertisements showing sample earnings.
· Original supporting documents; photocopies for your records have been supplied in the aforementioned sections.
Part 2 – Can you continue your career in the UK?
Some of the Questions in Part Two of the application form ask for further clarification:
Question 8: Do you Speak English?
As New Zealand is an English speaking country and my degree was obtained in English I think this should suffice as evidence.
Question 9: Do you hold the necessary relevant qualifications and/or memberships to work in chosen field?
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales allows reciprocal membership to Members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand. I am also already working as an accountant in the UK
Question 10: What arrangements have you made to seek work upon your arrival in the UK?
I am currently living in the UK and am working through a limited company providing short-term contract accounting work.
11. Do you have an offer of work?
Not applicable, as stated above I am already working in the UK.
12. What do you expect to earn in the first 12 months in the UK?
