Name issue

Post by HSMP_vk » Mon Nov 19, 2007 12:16 pm

Dear hsmp aspirants,

I am preparing to apply for HSMP in December 1st week and I have started collecting decuments. I have few clarifications that I need help from you.

Case 1
The first name is spelt differently in different certifications. There is a space introducted in some of the certifications that I have.

Example:

If my First Name is "Pradeep Kumar", few documents have it as Pradeepkumar and few documents have it as Pradeep Kumar.
Will there be any problem with it? How to tackle this situation?
(My passport name is Pradeep Kumar)

Case 2
Another case is that the Last name is designated as just intials in some of the certificates.

Example:
First name is Pradeep Kumar
Last name is Sundaram
But some of my certificates have it as Pradeep Kumar S or
S Pradeep Kumar.

Any clarifications would be much appreicated.

My thought was to notarize these differences, would that be helpful?

Hi,

It is vital that you submit an affidavit duly notarized that all the names in different documents are the one and same.....This is acceptable for Home office or British High commision.
knowledge increases when you share it

Has anyone here who has the issue of some certificates with Initials and others expanded resolved the issue.

Has anyone applied for the affidavit locally in UK? If so who is the person to approach. Is it the Notary? What are the documents required to prove that they both are same.
