Switching from Tier2 ICT to Tier2 General

Hi,

This is Srinivas. I am from India and came to UK on Inter Company Transfer - Short Term Visa for 1 year. This category of visa is now been decommissioned. My question is that
1) My current visa is valid till Feb 2018, If I am able to search a job in UK before Feb 2018, would I be able to apply for new Visa based new valid sponsorship?

I am not clear with the reply. Whether you are saying I can apply or I cannot apply?

As I am not going to apply for the same type of Visa (ICT Tier 2 Short Term which is decommission). Is it cooling period applicable?

One of my colleague who came to UK on ICT Tier 2 Short Term and went back to India. Without serving cooling period he is able to apply for ICT Tier 2 Long Term Visa.

When did your colleague enter the UK on his ICT visa and what was the level of the Tier 2 General annual salary?

Very limited circumstances that permit you to change to tier 2 general without the cooling off period.

Tier 2 ICT short term being discontinued does not change the rules regarding 12 month cooling off period.
