Tier-1 fees...URGENT!

Post by jcs » Fri May 09, 2008 11:09 am

I am going to file Tier-1 application for myself and my 2 dependents together in India. Could someone please let me know what is the visa fees that would be applicable in this case? The BIA website (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... rominindia) says this:

"Any dependant applications accompanying your application form cost the same fee as your application."

Does this not mean that visa fees for dependents will be included along with the main applicant? I had called VFS but they told that it would be Rs.51,000 for each applicant, i.e. 3 X 51000. Please can someone who has applied from India for self and dependents together give some clarity?

Thanks!

51 K for EACH dependent even if u apply all together ??Thats is crazy...

I think if u apply for all of them together it is 51K total..But if u just apply for your self first ,then apply for dependents then it would be 51K for you and 51K for ALL dependents..But check with VFS

That's what I had also thought. But it seems it is otherwise. It is as we think for applications made within UK.
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... ngintheuk/

"Any dependant applications sent with your form are free of charge. We will not consider dependant applications sent separately or later without an extra fee of £395."

I think this is really crazy and very unfair. It is just a means for HO to make more money from applicants in India.

But can someone who has applied please confirm?

Hi all,

In continuation with this thread, I believe the application fees is separately charged for dependents and it is the same as the main applicant i.e. Rs. 51,000/-. So for the main applicant and 2 dependents the fees would be Rs. 1,53,000/-.

But can someone please let me know that for paying the fees do we make separate Banker's cheques / Demand Drafts for all 3 applicants or can the entire fees be combined in a single cheque and submitted?

Thanks!
