Switching to ILR Using New service from Tier 2 route

Post by HR26 » Sun Dec 30, 2018 11:58 am

Hi Folks,

So finally I have completed my 5 years on T2 General catergory and completing my ILR application form. Few queries I have to which I would like your opinions / supports please .

1- Consequences of having legal representative ? - Will all the communication be gone to my legal representative and I will get notifications as well ?

2- Advantage of using £35 document checking service ? i understand the team members at service centres are doing more like admin work instead of having actuall knowledge of advising on which docs are necessary.

3- What evidence to attach for this >> For the period before you were granted leave as a Tier 2 migrant, documents showing that you met the relevant requirements of the immigration rules. For further information concerning the evidence required, please refer to the Tier 2 migrant policy guidance on our website
as I am applying on 5 years route even though I am living in country for more than 5 years as previously I have had student visas and PSW visa.

Many thanks in advance

I'm also completing my application these days and I have the same question.
I wonder if they're asking for the previous letters from Home Office that you get when you're granted the visa? or perhaps current BRP card will suffice?

Yes to legal rep and none to you.. it’s ur legal reps job to inform you.

No advantage.. unless you can’t be bothered to scan and upload urself..

The answer is in the statement. Ur evidence is ur passports and relevant visas in em.

Many thanks in advance

In response to above;

1 - I have received an email from UK VIsas & Immigration - confirming towards receiving my application. But this email is received after two days of my submission. Is that normal ? I was not expecting to receive any thing as I understood all the correspondance should be going to my solicitor.

2 - Many thanks

3 - considering I am not combining any of other categories so nothing should be attached with application in this regards, please advise if thats not the case. thanks

Does it matter?

What can you possibly attach when it doesn’t exist? Your immigration history is apparent in ur passports and the visas in them. To be double sure read the immigration rules for Tier2 settlement.
