EU 14 Years old Child

Good morning all.
I became British Citizen in March 2018. ( Italian passport, been in UK since 2006 )
My wife has Permanent residency. ( Family member 5 years route, acquired in 2017, been in UK since 2007 )
I got 2 daughters born in UK already got British Passport.
My son was born in Brazil, came to UK in 2007, he holds Italian passport. Never been illegal. Been at school since 4 years old.
Now, I am willing to apply my son British Citizenship in 2019, he will be 15 years old.
So I am a British Citizen, my son will be 15 ( still a minor ).
I guess I have to use form MN1 as he was born outside UK. My question is:

DO I HAVE TO APPLY SETTLE STATUS or PERMANENT RESIDENCE FOR HIM BEFORE APPLY BRITISH CITIZENSHIP or CAN I JUST GO AHEAD AND PUT THE FORM MN1 STRAIGHT ?
