Visa application for child born outside UK, when father is on ILR and mother in Tier 2 Dependent visa

Greetings all,

I will briefly explain my situation and the questions I have. If you have any pointers, it will be of great help. Thanks for your time.

I am currently on ILR on March 12, 2018 through 5 year route.
I was previously on Tier 2 General : 09/2012 – 03/2018

My wife came to the UK as a Tier 2 Dependent with visa valid from 19-10-2017 till 15-08-2019.

In March 2018, we came to know that we were expecting our first child. Due to personal reasons, we wished to have our child in India and my wife returned to India on 03-08-2019.
So, my wife was in the UK from 14-11-2018 till 03-08-2019. She is currently in India.

Our child was born in India in 5th January 2019. My wife and child are currently in India.

As of now, I am planning to bring my wife and child to the UK. I am planning to apply for my child's visa first. So that my wife and child can come to the UK together.

I also have a few other questions, I will be grateful if you can clarify the following:

For Child :

1. I am on ILR now (previously Tier 2 General) and my wife is on Tier 2 dependent visa. I am not sure what visa application I need to make for my child. Should I consider my child to be a Tier 2 dependent or ILR dependent (Family visa?)
2. What are the documents needed for the Child applicant (any pointers) and expected time frame to get visa.

For Wife :
1. Can we extend Tier 2 dependent visa from India?
2. Is it beneficial in bringing my child and wife as ILR dependent instead of Tier 2 dependent ?
If so, should we wait for my wife's current Tier 2 dependent visa to lapse?
