Post ceremony - time taken to notify Home Office/HMPO

I had my citizenship ceremony more than a week ago, but HMPO say they haven't been notified that I've completed citizenship. (JCAP application)

I contacted the Council and they said they've informed the Home Office after the ceremony, but said they can't do it again unless UKVI requests it.

Is this normal? I see on the forum that some people got their passports very soon after the ceremony -- for HMPO not to have been notified, it seems something's mixed up?

Any suggestions welcome.

Times to receive passport after ceremony do vary, it's normal - a weeks wait does not indicate there is an issue.

Thanks - though the issue isn't that I haven't received the passport.
But, rather, that the HMPO haven't yet been notified that I attended a ceremony (and received my certificate).
