British citizenship for my child

Post by Ivan21 » Mon Feb 25, 2019 6:25 pm

Hi, I'm appalling for British citizenship for my son. I'm EU citizen. I've been in UK since 2010. I was issued yellow card that allowed me to work as self employed. November 2012 - I was issued blue card.
And end of the 2018 i was granted IRL. However the Passport office ask me to provide evidence exercising my treaty rights for 5 years between 2012-2017, because my son was born 01/2017. However 2012 I worked as self-employed witch was fine, but then I was employed for 5-6 moths, my Manger at the time said it's ok to employ you while we withing for your blue card. Now I'm worried that Home Office might find out that i worked illegally for few months. Should I just cancel the application or go-ahead with it?
Thank you

What are your nationalities? Where was the child born?

For your child to have been born a British citizen, you will need to have completed five continuous years of exercising treaty rights before his birth. An ILR a year after his birth does not make him a British citizen.
