Right to Abode

Post by Angel1403 » Mon Mar 04, 2019 4:22 pm

Hi folks,

I am in the Philippines with my Filipino wife and 4 month old daughter, born in Philippines.

We were planning to apply for my daughters British Passport from the Philippines prior to us returning to the UK to settle again. However, that seems to take a long time to process.

I am a British Citizen....both my parents were British. My wife is Filipino with ILR to be in the UK.

I am wondering if it would be easier to get our daughter her Filipino passport 1st, then apply on the Visa4uk website for Right of Abode, to enable the 3 of us to fly to the UK, and thereafter apply for our daughters 1st British Passport when back in the UK?

Thanks for all advise.

Cheers :)
