UK Visa Timeline Question

Post by RadAim » Sat Apr 13, 2019 6:52 am

Hello,

I'm from Israel and have applied to join my fiancee in the UK.

Online application date: 3rd January 2019
Biometrics: 8th of January 2019
Application received by UKVI (being prepared for ECO): 16th of January 2019
Documents returned: 27th March 2019
Escalated by emailing UKVI: 2nd of April 2019

I'm still waiting, it's been 69 Business days since biometrics. Is this normal? Could someone explain why it could be taking that long?

Thank you.

Hi
Pls check visa processing time for your country on UKVI website as it varies countrywise.
Also it will be less if u opt for priority service so check these things, you will surely get answers to all your questions.

For India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.. Priority is 30 BD where as standard services takes 60-120 days.

Thnx

My country is not on the list, I tried doing that through the UKVI website, Israel is not on there for some bizarre reason. :(

Hi

If Israel is not in the list then which VFS you applied online and paid visa fee from ?

Also at the time of Biometric, the staff at VFS might have discussed processing time for your visa category. What did the staff at VFS told you about this?

Furthermore, whatever the case be, you should get your decision within 60-120 days, provided your documentation is correct, to the point and is not confusing for ECO.

Thanks.

Need help - Fiance Visa UK timeline

Post by RadAim » Thu Apr 18, 2019 8:55 pm

Hello,

I need help with my situation as I don't understand what's happening with my documents currently.

I applied for a fiance visa on 3rd of January 2019. On 2nd of April I contacted UKVI to know whether a decision has been made as 60 days have passed on that date, and they said application still awaiting decision as of 2nd of April, and they have escalated my case.

TODAY (18th of April) I receive an email from Sheffield saying the following: "I can confirm that a decision was completed on your application on 19th March 2019. I will therefore contact the Visa Application Centre (VAC) to obtain an update in relation to the decision and your documents. "

What does that even mean? If a decision has been made on 19th of March why have I been told otherwise on 2nd of April, and what could be happening with my documents?

Another concern of mine is if they processed the visa, and it's already started running out of time and they just haven't sent it yet, is that a possible scenario? Could I get some advice?

Thank you.
