Spouse Visa Financial Requirement Calculation After Salary Increases

I was wondering if someone could help me regarding my financial requirement

So I started working with my current employer in 2017, when I started my salary was £17,524 annual. I received a small pay rise last year April 2018 bumping my salary up to £17,787. I then went abroad to get married in October 2018 and came back in March 2019. I received another pay rise which made my salary £18,429 and am due another payrise in April 2019 which will make my salary £18,813. However, as everyone else, I don't want to wait 6 months and was wondering if I could include my March payslip as the '6months' requirement eventhough I was earning £18,429 in March. Another Q can I potentially show my salary for the last 12 months which amounts to £9709.22 / 6*12 = £19,418. Is this a possibility? As I'll have to wait until October otherwise.

If you are earning fixed wages every month and your wages is not varying then you will be a salaried person where HO will consider the lowest wages figure during the last 6 months which in your case wont enable you to meet the financial requirement. However, if you have been doing overtime along with your fixed wages then you might meet the requirement through overtime being considered by non-salaried person approach.

Hi just a quick question
I know there is a thing such as the priority service, but someone tells me that there is also a super priority service where decision is made within a week? but of course have to pay extra on top of other fees.
Is this true & can you also tell me what the current waiting period is for priority service please?

Hello,

For prioirty, It is anywehere between 1-2 months from the date of the online application. For non-priority applications, anything between 3-6 months.

Also, in regards to your wages, you can use savings if you have more than £16,000 plus the shortfall for the last 6 months.

For you it works out as follows:
£18,600 - £17,787 = £813
£813 x 2.5 = £2,032.50 - Shortfall
£2,032.50 + £16,000 = £18,032.50 - Required savings

In the mean time, start preparing all your paperwork as it'll take you around a month collating it all and putting in order.

We applied outside the UK using the 'normal' priority service and it took about 6 weeks for us. So yeah, 1 - 2 months is a correct estimate.

Also, is it quicker applying for my husband's visa in the UK or going to Pakistan and applying for it there? as it will have been more than 6 months by the time I apply, and I'm just wary that I need to visit my husband within this time to ensure our relationship is 'genuine'

If your husband is in Pakistan and applying first time then he will have to only apply from pakistan although you can scan, upload & send the supporting documents from UK.

It'll be a good idea to meet up with your spouse atleast every six months and/or before you apply. That should have a positive impact in respects to the visa application.

Hello,

You don't have to take any documents to Pakistan if you want to submit them yourself here in the UK. If you do submit them here, then you will need the following from your husband:

Passport Photocopies (current and any previous)
English Test Certificate
TB Test Certificate
Original Urdu Nikkahnama translated into English
Marriage Registration Certificate (Urdu/English) translated into English

You seems getting confused unnecessarily. There are only two steps.

1. Filling the online application followed by booking the biometrics after paying the application & IHS fee.

2. Sending the supporting documents to sheffield.

Both steps you can perform yourself on behalf of applicant. Only the applicant need to submit his biometrics details at local vfs centre in Pakistan & deposit his passport there. Then he need to send you the above mentioned documents or if you are going there then you can bring yourself to UK. Then again you can visit your local vfs centre in UK to scan, upload and send the documents to sheffield who usually charge £75. Still if you wish then can share that procedure with your solicitor too for cross checking or to update his knowledge too.

Just a question

In one of 6 payslips the gross payment is £1567 but as i got overpaid in last year october my employer minused the overpayment from my payslip which was £177.87. Will this make a difference or will they look at the £1567? Can i provide a letter to show why i was overpaid and why this was taken off? The payslip states my pay as £18,813

Sorry I didnt word my last question properly
I took some unpaid leave in November 2018 but my employer overpaid me within this period due to a payroll error. They cut the overpayment out from my salary in April, where my basic pay is £1567 and the gross overpayment deduction is £177 which means my gross pay shows up as £1390. Will home office look at £1567 or the gross pay? I have a letter from my employer which is the NHS, stating they overpaid me and will be deducting it from my salary which is why my gross was £1390 for that month when in fact it would have met the usual requirement if it wasnt for my employers error. Can i use aprils payslip or not please help

That will be considered because gross income before any deductions/adjustments are considered. Yes preferably for safe side attach the employer letter clarifying that error.
