English language requirement

Post by trueindian2013 » Sun Jun 30, 2019 6:50 pm

Hi

am trying to apply for naturalisation through the new online application. The question on english language requirement is very confusing.
I obtained my ILR before 28th Oct 13 so I understand either I have to have a degree in English that meets standard or complete english language test at SELT. I've completed the test and certified now although I've a degree taught in English in India. But I didn't take UK NARIC route as I can't get the Medium of Instruction letter from my Uni. So I completed the necessary test at Trinity.
But when am trying to complete the application it asked me whether I've a degree in English and I said yes. Then it's not giving an option to say whether I completed english language test. And in the documents required, they are asking to produce my degree certificate and NARIC letter that it meets the standards.
What to do? Can I say I don't have a degree taught in English and produce B1 certificate to meet language requirement?

Say no to the degree question. The question is only relevant to meeting the English requirement and not whether you are qualified or not.
