Professional referee

Sir/madam,
I’m a German citizen and I have been given settlement status, I would like now to apply for British citizenship, I have a referee who is a professional farmer and landowner and has been all his life, if I give him as a professional referee would he be acknowledged and excepted as such in my application for British citizenship?.

You need settled status for 12 months before you can apply for citizenship unless you are married to a British citizen.
