ANCESTRY - NO PROOF OF NAME CHANGE HELP!!

So I am applying for my ancestry visa and I have all the necessary documents but realized my grandfather changed his last name from birth back in the 40s and there’s no record of it....so his new last name is what my mom went by. Am I going to get refused? Is there any letter I can get from a lawyer or a document I can order if there’s no record of him changing his name...
