MN1 eligibility

Post by amgwck » Wed Jul 10, 2019 5:15 am

Dear all,

I am from Hong Kong, a BC by descent (from the British Nationality (Hong Kong) Act 1990). My parent is BC otherwise than by descent.

I received full time education in the UK for around 5 years when I was young, and lived in boarding houses, completed both GCSEs and a-levels.

I would like to apply citizenship for my children under Section 3(2). For the requirement that "lived in the UK for at least 3 years" before my children were born. I would like to know if receiving full time education would fulfill the requirement. Are those GCSEs and A-levels certification be sufficient to proof my residence?

Very much appreciated is anyone could answer these questions.

Thanks
WCK
