Family Dependent visa question on travelling abroad

Post by chenmyster » Thu Jul 18, 2019 9:22 pm

Here is quite a unique question. We already know we must not be abroad more than 3 month a year while on dependent visa.

We made 2 applications for mother and son. Mother's visa came in early April, son came in August.
This means we had to do a vignette transfer for mother's visa to transfer from April to August. Now does this period count towards the no more 3 month abroad thing?

Really??? Where did you read that??? There is NO absence limit for spouse/child settlement visa holders.
This means we had to do a vignette transfer for mother's visa to transfer from April to August. Now does this period count towards the no more 3 month abroad thing?
There is NO such requirement or absence restriction. Their residence for ILR starts counting from the date they ENTER the UK and NOT the date of visa issue.
