Immigration for non EU dependant married brother and 3 kids

Post by Benzino78 » Mon Jul 29, 2019 1:49 am

Hello everyone!
I am new to this forum and seeking advice. I am a British citizen hoping to help relocate my brother, his wife and 3 children( 4 and 2) to the Republic of Ireland. I am willing to relocate to Ireland to aid this process. How can I establish dependency? How challenging will it be to move his whole family under EU directives and Irish national law? What requirements ( financial and otherwise) should I endeavour to meet?

Thanks and I look forward to your responses.

Based on your other posts you seem to be looking to get your family into an EEA country by several means. It might be worth you seeking the advice of an EU specific immigration attorney to describe you exact family situation and find out which country they would recommend best fits your family's needs. I can't think of a single country that you would be able to move your brother and his family without exercising your treaty rights, which means you would definitely have to establish a life in that country first. Also, as a UK citizen you may be facing an uphill battle with Brexit looming. Have you considered bringing your family to the UK?

The route to settlement for adult dependent relatives has been virtually closed since the UK Immigration Rules were tightened in July 2012. Zero chance of bringing a whole family into the UK as dependants. No doubt this is why the OP is searching for other options in the EU.

@Benzino78 Please can you decide which country you want to settle with your extended family and post in ONE thread. So far we have:
Ireland - Brother, wife and 3 children
Germany - Brother, wife and 3 children (study at University)
France - Mother stuck alone in France on cancelled UK visitor visa, waiting for your brother to join her and find work.

If you are looking for loopholes, this is not the place. As much as most people here are immigrants, they are here in a legitimate way. You cannot be telling me that all your brother, wife and 3 children are dependent on you alone and all want to settle with you. If your story doesn't work in the UK, I can't see how it will work in Ireland, Germany or France.

Maybe start a business and hire your brother as an employee.
