time between t2 gen start date and t2 dependent

hi all,

I have a valid rcos and will travel to home country for visa stamping.
What is the status when i travel back after getting the visa but job start date is lets say 10 days after.
so for that 10 days am i eligible to work under current t2 dependent visa ?

Your tier 2 dependent visa will be cancelled when you are issued a tier 2 general visa. You can only work for your sponsor from the relevant date.

oh so for that 10 days i cant do anything..

And you can also only enter the UK from the date your tier 2 visa is valid from and this will usually be in line with the CoS dates.
