Hello.
I have worked in UK from June 2016 - Dec 2017 (1.5 yrs) on Tier 2 general visa. Then I left the country for more than a year and returned in Feb 2019. This time I have been given a 4 year Tier 2 visa.
Will I be able to extend this Tier 2 visa after 4 years for a further 2 years? Or will I be just given 6 months extension because I understand that the total duration of Tier 2 visa is only 6 years. And I would have already used up 5.5 yrs (Current 4 yrs + the earlier 1.5 years)?
If they give me only 6 months extension, then I will not be able to apply for ILR. This is because of the gap of more than 6 months between my 1st stay in UK and the second stay.
Any advice will be really appreciated.
Thanks and regards,
Biju
