Hi Zima, thanks for your kind advice...but I overstayed my visiting visa in in 2007, I stayed illegaly in the country all through 2008 , then in 2009 I got married to my wife..in 2009 I got a letter from home office saying I can live freely as eea family members and can get employment, the in 2010 my RC was sent to me...I want to know when my 10 yrs good character time starts...
Thanks Zimba, I appreciate your Help. Does the 10 yrs start from when I got married to my eea wife or when I first got a letter of acknowledgement from the homeoffice in September 2009 saying I can live and work as an era family member while my application is being processed or does the 10 years start when and 5 yrs residency card was stamped on my passport in 2010?
Many thanks Zimba, I appreciate your help... Actually I spoke to a lawyer few weeks ago in regards to issue , he told me that I must wait till 2020, , that sent me into confusion, he said my 10 yrs started in 2010 when my 5 yrs RC was granted and not 2009 when I was sent a letter by the home office acknowledging my application and at the same time giving me the right to live and work while my application is being looked into...
If you married WITHIN the UK, your 10 years starts from this date.I got legaly married to my eea wife in July 10th 2009
Hi CR001, Thanks for intervening into this issue, I appreciate you and Zimba..I got married in this country, church of England. In September 2009 homeoffice sent me a letter which says while my application is with them, I would be recognised as a family member of eea national, I'm allowed to live and work. I got my national insurance card and job with with that letter. Please do I need to include the letter in my application ? And also, do I need to include a covering letter?

You have been eligible for naturalisation since 2016.
It doesn’t matter. One year after getting permanent residence you are eligible to apply for Naturalisation, no matter which route you took.Ifycamilla wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2019 8:19 pmIt91, thanks for you contribution, but I was staying illegal between 2008 until in July 10th 2009 when I got married to my wife....some people I spoke to said I must wait till 2020 exactly 10 yrs since my first 5yrs RCit91 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2019 8:17 pmIfycamilla wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2019 5:41 pmHi everyone, will be of a great help if I can get some help needed on this issue...i came into the country with a visit visa 2007, visit visa expired same year, .I got legaly married to my eea wife in July 10th 2009,, application for RC was made immediately after marriage,. Also, lawyers always advise us to take the most difficult path in order to charge us. Luckily I did my own research and applied by my own with no problem.Ifycamilla wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2019 1:57 pmMany thanks Zimba, I appreciate your help...
