Spousal Visa UK

Post by SiegmanSchu » Wed Oct 09, 2019 10:48 pm

My husband and I will be applying for a UK family visa in order for me to move there. My husband used to work for xxxxx and now works for xxxxx. Would this have any sort of negative impact on his application? I am worried it could raise questions or further investigation of some sort but my husband has insisted it will be treated fairly provided we meet the requirements.

Ideally I'd like his occupation to be kept hidden during the application but his payslips are issued from the xxxx and contain which department he works for.

Does anybody have experience on applying for settlement visas when one of the spouses actually works for a government department.

It is playing around in my head that it would have bias against it for some reason though I can't see why.

Thank you.

Oh, please don't try to hide anything. This is where deception starts and this is how you can attract unnecessary issues to yourself.

There is absolutely no reason why you will be treated unfairly.

As he worked for xxxxx, he should be himself acquainted with the proper method to apply for this visa and provide all the evidence.

There is nothing to fear.

Thank you, it's good to know it will be dealt with fairly. He actually still works alongside xxxxx quite a lot but now is at xxxxx

I'm relieved to hear it'll be dealt with without any bias or issues provided we apply meeting all the requirements.

Just a few more months to go before we send in our application! Many thanks.

You can't hide his occupation because he has to attach employer letter.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Kindly do not post where or for who your spouse works.

All applicants, regardless of who their employer or employment history is, are tested the same and must all meet the requirements for the visa being applied for. No disadvantage or advantage or special treatment based on who the employer is.
