Spouse visa 2003 - can work?

Post by joolsinlondon » Sat Feb 08, 2020 9:47 am

Hi Everyone,

This is a historic knowledge request please.....

Does anybody know if a non-EU citizen in the UK on a spouse visa was allowed to work in 2003?

Or can find the legislation on this (for 2003)?

Cheers, Jools

Yes, a spouse visa holder has always been allowed to work. In 2003, the spouse visa would have been issued for 27 months, work permitted.
