Integra process ?

Post by saurabh_gyl » Sun Aug 17, 2008 8:24 am

Hi All

Can anyone please let me know that what process Integra follow to verify your detail. Do they contact employer/bank by phone or fax or email. Do they go in person to the establishment. How do they send the letter of authorisation to the concerned authority by fax/e-mail.
Are banks supposed to contact us before giving any detail to the third parties.

Saurabh

Hello Mr Mehta

I did try to search the forum. But not able to find anything concrete.
Please have a look at following threads

http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=29636&highlight=integra

http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=29209&highlight=integra

http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=29122&highlight=integra

all of them mention that integra contact bank n employer, but none mention how they contact.

I want to know that whether they send the Integra Authorisation form to bank or not.

Saurabh

While people might be able to tell you who Integra contacts (people you name on the application form or provide contact details of on the Inegra form) and how (email / phone) but I don't think anyone will be able to explain the behind-the-scene procedures that Ingera follows.

I understand where you are coming from / reason for this query and I think you'll avoid a lot of headache and stress if you to visit your bank and change your signatures (in the bank) to the one you have on your passport (and the integra form).

If you decide to follow the suggestion, don't ask if this (changing signatures) will have a problem.

you got it correct :o . You are really the guru of this forum.
I have applied for the signature change on saturday. I have an appointment with VFS tomorrow. But when i contacted the bank today, they said that signature change will take 3-10 days. So I was just wonderring if I can go ahead, otherwise i'll again need to thru all the pain of getting the new bank statements(u wont believe but i have to visit the ICICI branch at least 4 times to get the correct statements, and once manager told me to buy a gold coin saying"u help me, i'll help u"). But I guess its better to go thru tht pain than to risk 51K.

One more thing if you can clarify.
I have got the bank statements for my salary accounts from 1 Aug 2007 till 18 Aug 2008 on bank computer stationary. Its dated 18 Aug 2008(today). Is their any requirement tht salary acc statements should also be taken within last 7 days of application.

My funds acc is seperate, and i'll take its latest statement whenever i go for application.

Saurabh

Don't think Integra would start on your case as soon as that (Monday / Tuesday next week) and by then your bank would have effected the change (go check with bank on Monday and if they haven't done it by then tell the manager that you'll buy a coin if he gets it done ASAP  ).

The 7 day condition is applicable for maintenance funds accounts only.

[post modified, I removed one idiotic question  ]
I have got my appointments re-scheduled. So will need to take funds acc statement again. I dont want to go to tht branch again.

So any issues if get the bank statement for funds from a different branch than the one from which i have taken the statement for my salary acc statement. None of these branches wud be by base branches.

To make it easier to understand my salary acc is with branch A, my funds acc is with branch B, I take salary acc statement from branch C, and funds acc statement from branch D. :o
all of them ICICI.
and if no issues what contact details about bank i should mention.

No problem(as long as the Bank is same  )

Mention contact details of all four branches . This would involve only copy pasting contact details from their website in your cover letter.

Thanks for response.
But which branch I need to mention in the Appendix 1 section 4.11
And also the bank's website does not give the phone numbers of the branches, just their addresses.

It just took 3 woking days to get signature changed, though bank officials told me tht it takes 7-8 working days.

just go to your bank branch, they'll tell you the procedure...it is normally pretty much straight forward.

You have put a good point here. It is a normal corporate policy to keep salaries confidential.

So I talked to my HR today. they said that if someone calls them to verify then they can just tell whether the salary they are mentioning is correct or not, but they can not tell my salary directly.

What should be done in this case. Should we mention the point in the cover letter or BHC and Integra guys will be smart enough to understand this point.

Its not always that the Integra ask the same type of question. They have their own way of doing the background check. In my case the integra people have sent the scanned copy of my Form-16 and asked my employer to verify it... that too the email was not sent to the HR but to the guy in Human capital Management dept. I didnt provide any contact details in the integra form apart from the board number. Integra ppl would be having their own database with contact information in various companies..Its not necessary that they call only the person whom you referred....

My previous employer didn't receive any call...I came to know about this when i called my previous HR...but who knows the integra people would have done the check through some other way...

My signature in my passport is not same as the one with my Bank. Its totally different. If you are confident about your other documents then automatically the result will be positive...99%

I got my visa approved...FYI...

did you provide direct contact number/extn/email of any particular HR personal or did you gave the general/reception contact number of your company.

Is it really necessary to mention the contact details of the branches where i hold my account, it'll make the cover letter messy and any one can get confuse. Moreover getting contact numbers for the branches in which I hold account is not that easy as they are in other cities. and the info is not available either on website or with the customer care.
I'll get the statements just from one branch, and mention the contact details of that branch only.

Can it be bad for my application if i do not mention the contact details of the branches in which hold account, in the times when all the account info is available with all the branches with just one click.

Saurabh
