Spouse Visa: Financial Requirement (Property)

Dear all,

I am applying for a spouse visa to join my wife in the United Kingdom. I have to two questions:

1. I am reliant on cash savings to meet the financial requirement and have sold an apartment in Egypt. In terms of evidence, I would like to submit a copy of the deed and the contract of sale. Do I need to provide evidence of taxes? Let me know what evidence is ABSOLUTE.

2. My wife and I are currently living in Egypt and plan to move to the United Kingdom. How far ahead do I need to have a Tenancy Agreement? My wife is planning to rent a flat a month before submission?

1. • Land Registry information or documentation (or a copy of this) or its overseas
equivalent.
• A letter from a solicitor (or other relevant professional if the sale takes place
overseas) instructed in the sale of the property confirming the sale price and other
relevant information.
• A letter from a lender (a bank or building society) on its headed stationery regarding
the repayment of a mortgage or loan secured on the property.
• Confirmation of payment of taxes or professional fees associated with the sale

2. Ideally occupation/possession into a property must be in place when submitting the application.
