Thanks for this, the problem is the total lack of clarity on the timeline of the process after an email from 3 July to wait for further instructions and people who had their appointments already received decisionsCocobana wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2020 7:37 pmHi everyone,
Got this info online, hopefully it clarifies the biometric reuse issue. Full details can be seen here-

Reuse of fingerprints is only possible for people applying in the work, study, family and private life, citizenship and Windrush routes. The process cannot be used for individuals who last enrolled their biometrics before July 2015 and children under 18 who have not enrolled their biometrics within the last two years. Also, if any applicant within a family group is ineligible to have their fingerprints reused, then the whole family group must enrol their biometrics together in person.
A different process applies for individuals or family groups whose fingerprints cannot be reused. Those who registered an account with UKVCAS after 27 March 2020 but before 1 May 2020 should have received an email before 4 July 2020 asking them to book an appointment. Further tranches of emails will be sent to applicants who registered their account later than these dates..
No they haventDianaK91 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2020 7:33 pmHave they told you how long more you should wait for an email with instructions, it is easy to say for them!Toxic wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2020 3:22 pmHi Guys,
I was reading on the BC forum discussing same issue. One of them had a successful application by submitting the documents through ukvcas and the individual didnt receive any email regarding submission of documents.
However, I believe we should wait as we will be clarified once the facial recognition system is up and running.
Also, I spoke to home office on their helpline number, I mentioned to them about this way of uploading through the ukvcas website and asked him shall i wait or upload? And also mentioned that the homeoffice guidance says to wait for an email for the next steps. The representative advised me to wait so am going to wait.
Thanks
I got my decision today, applied 28/6 and have not received any previous emails. Biometric was taken 22/7.VikasMandal wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2020 4:16 pmIt seems that those who got email from case worker earlier requesting for documents are getting decisions as soon as their biometric is complete
Is this something adult enroll after July-01-2015 and child within last two years (not in 2015)?Cocobana wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2020 7:37 pmHi everyone,

Hi CR001 , all : I have received the biometric re-use email on Friday as well. I am the lead applicant with my dependants including 2 small children . I have just received 1 email that is addressed to me . I am assuming that is for the lead applicant and the dependents as well for re-use of biometrics . We had submitted one application for all of us together for the Tier 2 General Visa as a family groupCR001 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2020 10:28 amThere aren't any yet as the facial image process is NOT yet available.ILRGB wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2020 10:24 amJust saw this new ILR Set O success story of a June applicant.

So far the success stories seem to be from those who have "attended" an appointment in person. Is there a pattern here?
Does anyone know of success stories of those you are chosen to "resuse the previous biometrics"?
Do we need to carry any original apart from passport & BRP for SET O?ps1234 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 9:54 amHi all,
We had our biometrics taken early today (applied mid-june, family with young children so no biometric re-use) in Croydon. The process was very smooth - took about 1 hour for 4 of us - no inordinate waiting times in the waiting area like in earlier T1/T2 appointments which took almost half a day.
They scanned individual pages of my current passport which had a lot of work travel so took the longest in the family. They also did quite a lot of checking the front pages and a few other random pages of our passports, placing it under a table-lamp kind of a contraction which projected 1 red dot on to the passport.
I am guessing for the folks with biometric reuse emails, they might be looking to find a way of scanning in all pages of the passport and also checking the passport/stamp authenticity - and maybe that's why this is taking long? Also for my wife, they had to take the picture three times as the system rejected it after 4-5 min of processing (even though the person thought the pics were taken fine). So am guessing that they're trying to make it all seamless. Would have been super easy if they could delegate this out to local post-offices but maybe there is some element of security checks on passport etc.
anyway, the wait begins now for the decision.
Did you read the appointment confirmation email from UKVCAS? Generally, this is what it saysPaul99 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 10:37 amDo we need to carry any original apart from passport & BRP for SET O?ps1234 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 9:54 amHi all,

Hi All - for those who have received the re-use biometrics email, I am guessing it is ONE email for the lead applicant only ? ( not separate individual emails for each of the dependants and children )ap1410 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2020 10:09 pmHi CR001 , all : I have received the biometric re-use email on Friday as well. Confirmation Email
Thank you for booking your appointment. Your appointment confirmation is attached. Please note you must bring to your appointment:
the attached confirmation notice, containing the QR barcode for each group member – without it you cannot attend the appointment
all your original supporting documents – you will need them to complete your appointment, even if you have already uploaded copies online
If you have booked a group appointment then all members of your group must attend. Please also note you should retain all your original supporting documents as they may be required by UK Visas and Immigration at a later date. You should arrive at your appointment in good time and bear in mind that space is limited and only those required at the appointment should attend.

This is super useful. Thank you for sharing .Shuvotash wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 12:15 pmHi guys,
Firstly I would like to massively thanks everyone in this forum (Members and Moderators). This is the only place which keeps assuring that I am not alone going through this, so I am obliged to share my updates.
I have applied some times in May and fell into Biometric Reuse category.
I read some comments regarding the uncertainties related to processing our applications while we are waiting for biometric reuse (photo verifications).
I can guess those who submitted the documents (via UKVCAS) and now waiting for biometric reuse, for those Home Office is already STARTED THE PROCESSING of the applications. Recently I received an email from the relevant team asking for further original documents (out of 50+ submitted docs) in order to support my application.
This is great news as our application is in progress while we are waiting for photo verification. So I request you all to be patient. Everyone is doing more than their bests to get over the uncertainties due to the current situation. Let's be respectful and thankful.
Thanks a lot again and hope this is helpful.
I agree with the above. I called UKVI and they were updated internally on 20.07.2020 that reuse category candidates will get email. But again lady was skeptical to give the time it may take.Shuvotash wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 12:15 pmHi guys,

Hopefully yes I think so to. Do you have the UKVI number handy ? While I have received ONE email for biometric reuse as the main applicant , I have not seen any separate email for my dependants (wife, kids) and I want to call them and confirm that they are all considered for biometric reuse.abhardwaj1390 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 12:33 pmI agree with the above. I still think they have taken the interim decision on applications (straight forward ones).
What do you think?

Likewise. I am the only applicant, so have no idea about the dependants.
