Your worries are baseless. There are no such two letters. There is a post on top of the forum regarding the employer letter.
Thank you. I checked and found the templates very useful.

There are 2 letters one for absence and another one for - employer letter. so I will amend them and submit

I have another query on the same topic please help

My Soc code is 2314 - secondary education teachers in the subjects of maths, physics, science

but as per my contract I am a KS3/KS4 secondary school teacher in Mathematics. Is that ok? my contract doesnt say anything about Physics and science - it only says Secondary education Mathematics teacher.

I assume as long as I am under one of the subjects its OK? please can one of you confirm

Thanks,

Thanks Zimba again for your super fast reply

I just got anxious thinking I have to be a maths and a science teacher. Glad just being a maths teacher is enough and satisfies the UKVI rules on SOC

I will submit the letter from employer as a secondary school Maths teacher

Thanks again and have a great day !!!

Re: query on ILR Set O application form - Document Checklist

Post by newuser79 » Sun Aug 02, 2020 7:30 am

Hello Seniors/Experts,

Good Morning!

Hope you are keeping well. I will be applying along with my 2 dependent children( aged 19 and 14) end of this month ( Aug 2020) for an ILR- 5 years continuous residency in the UK. This is from Tier 2( Gen) visa category on Shortage Occupation List Category ( Maths Teacher) . Could I please have any input if the below mentioned documents are sufficient while applying or uploading.

I entered UK on 3rd Oct 2015, My visa was granted on 25th Sept 2015. I plan to submit the application online and make the payment on UK Visas website on 28th August 2020. Both my dependent children stay with me and on full time education. I am working for the same employer from the day I entered UK in Oct 2015.

Document List:
1- Current/Expired passports & BRP card of myself and 2 my dependent children
2- Letter from Current employer( Start date of employment mentioning SOC code + Appropriate salary+ needed at work for unforeseeable future)
3 - Letter from current employer ( Start & End date of my Annual Leave, Leaves taken out of country + Good standing)
4- Life in the UK test pass result of myself and my dependents- details entered online on the SET (O) application form ( except my 14 yr old )
5- English Language Requirement – B1 CEFR pass – from Trinity college London ( pass details entered online for the SET(O) application form for myself and my dependents ( except my 14 yr old ).

Note: For LIUK test and English language test details for my 19 yr old dependent son it doesn’t give me the option to enter these details online on the SET(O) form. I am going to add additional notes and put these details there. Is that ok? But I see no option to enter these details online. What do I do? Please advice
6- Salary slips x 3 months ( only 1 month is mandatory but planning to submit last 3 months to be in safe side)
7- Bank statements x 3 months ( only 1 month is mandatory but planning to submit last 3 months to be in safe side)

Documents below I guess are not mandatory. Should I still upload online:
8- Copy of last COS ( Current employer)
9- P60's for last 5 years
10- Proof of documents for my 2 dependent children ( one document for every year like letter from school, colleges, GP, driving licence and bank statement for 19 yr old son to prove he lives with me in the same address etc )
11- Proof of residence for last 5 years ( council tax letter, mortgage statement etc )

Any valuable suggestion is much appreciated. Many thanks in advance

Sincerely,
newuser79

Simply add your son LIUK evidence to the documents. You are sending documents that are not needed; P60s, residence documents, 3 payslips, all not needed

Dear Seniors,

On the SET(O) form I have 3 queries. can you please clarify

First Query:

Enter your name: I entered my current full name here ( the name I got after my marriage )

The Other name:

Given name: I entered my name before marriage
Family name: I entered my family name before marriage

I hope its ok?

second query:

On my 19 yr old dependent application ( on the same application as mine but on a separate section) there is a section which is asking does parent 1 have access rights to you.

Do I say YES or NO?

I have given parent 1 as me and I have entered my LATE husband as parent 2.

Final Query:

I read on the forum that i need to send a signed declaration which is 3 pages. But I cant find where that 3 page document is which I need to sign and upload. Can you please let me know where I can find it

Thanks for all your help,

Hello Seniors,

Finally I am all set to apply for ILR next week ( SET O Tier 2 General ( Shortage occupation ) for myself and my 2 dependent children next week( WC 24th Aug )

I have checked on the forum to see if there is a post which explains step by step information for this entire process.Unfortunately I couldn't find anything.

Given too many new rules/Changes are happening i am a bit anxious and confused. could someone please clarify if the steps below are accurate:

1- Complete application online and submit the application
2- Pay the fees for standard service for myself and my 2 dependents ( this is the date of application and this should not be more than 28 days before the 5 yr qualifying period )
3- Once fees is paid I need to upload all the documents on the website
4- After Uploading all the documents needs to book an appointment on the UKVCAS website to give biometrics. There are too many options so not sure which option to book.
5- after giving biometrics at UKVCAS just wait for decision. I also read some people are opting out for reuse of biometrics so not sure what is better. Kindly advice

Is my understanding/assumption correct. If there is anything I am missing please can one of you point out

Thanks again

Regards,

3) Once you will pay and submit via UKVI website, system will reroute you to UKVCAS where you will upload your documents and book an appointment.

3a) You will not be able to book an appointment until UKVCAS opens up for August applicants. Check UKVCAS flash message for updates. Its opening up in phases.

3b) Once UKVCAS opens up for August applicants, it will let you know the next steps via email; if you have to attend the appointment OR your biometrics can be reused. In the latter case you will have to submit your facial image via the IDV app (which is set to launch in August).

4) There is a new feature on UKVCAS website where it gives you an option to submit documents to UKVI without waiting for a biometrics appointment. The best approach would be to use the feature. The feature usually appears when you upload all documents, sign out and sign in again.

Note, you can only submit once so make sure all your documents are complete before you submit. But you will be able to add more documents via appointment/IDV app whatever your circumstance be later on.

5) After the process is completed as stated above, you should wait for a decision.
Note: In the meantime documents can also be requested by the CW via email.

Tip: Keep a track of your emails. Regularly check your junk folder also. Next steps will be communicated via email.

Thank you very much Cullinan !! Very useful information- Now I know the process. I am sure this will also help others in the forum

I can only apply on or after 28th August 2020. I received my visa on 25th Sept 2015.

Is the date of application the date by which we make the payment on uk visas website

OR

is the date of application the date we actually submit all documents on to UKVCAS.

I am asking this because I dont mind paying and submitting the application to save time.

On 4 - I think its a great idea. I hope this will be quicker

Thanks again!!

The date of application is the date you pay and submit. Make sure you qualify on that date. Do NOT pay earlier than 28th (if thats when you qualify- check date calculator). Biometrics date is irrelevant.

If I was you I would give 1 day margin on top and apply on 29th.

Tip: Just apply before the 31st August so you fall under the August applicants (August will be next in line) - since phased reopening otherwise you may have to wait longer for your biometrics turn, if lets say you apply in Sep.

Thank you !! Will apply on 29th August to be on the safe side.

Appreciate your tip !!

I have already got all our documents and passwords ( including expired passports ) scanned including blank pages and kept it ready,

I need to add additional information on the application form. If its a document I can just attach it- what if its a free text I want to type and send as additional information. Any idea how I can do it ?

Thanks!!

The online form has “additional information” space at the end of the form. You can mention there or in the cover letter.

I have thoroughly checked the online SET (O) form and I dont see any where it says additional information

There are 7 sections as mentioned below. I have also checked each of the section but cant find anywhere to type additional information

1-start
2-Application
3-Finance
4-Documents
5-Declaration
6-Pay
7-Further actions

I dont mind writing a cover letter and attaching it on the UKVCAS website along with my other documents

Thanks

It usually is where you provide details about each applicant at Step 2. If you press “edit” and go to the last section it should be there.
Otherwise, just add in cover letter.

Hello Seniors,

Finally tonight after 12:01 I am submitting my application for SET (O) for ILR with my 2 dependents ( aged 14 and 19 ) . I waited with no luck for the super priority :-(

We got our visa on 25th Sept 2015. We entered UK on 3rd Oct 2020 on Tier 2 Visa. so today is the day we are eligible.

I will submit the application and pay the fees online. I am also enclosing an cover letter.

My query is : Should I opt out of IDV app or Should I use the IDV app. Please can one of you clarify?

finally I assume I can upload all documents under optional category on UKVCAS if I dont find the right place to upload them

Hello again,

sorry one more quick query. on the consent form there are 3 pages part 1,2 and 3. It says other applicants should sign in part 2 and 3.

I am applying for SET(O) with my 2 dependents age 14 and 19. I have added my dependents on the same application as mine. I DID NOT MAKE A SEPERATE APPLICATION FORM FOR MY DEPENDENT CHILDREN AS WE ALL CAME TO UK IN THE SAME TIME

so do they have to sign or do i have to sign in all 3 pages of the consent form.

Note: I am not getting any money from anyone or no one is giving me any financial support. Neither do I have any representative or neither am I submitting any joint bank statements

please clarify seniors- I will wait for your answers before I submit my application.

Thanks,

You can upload all documents via UKVCAS and submit to UKVI even before biometrics. Upload in any category that fits best. As long you upload all documents, category really do not matter. Ignore the word “optional” categories. This is how the website works.
If you are chosen for IDV app, its best to use it, its fast and simple and you can use it from the comfort of your home. You do not need to upload all documents again on IDV app IF you already have uploaded on UKVCAS website.

How did you add your 19 year old in the same form?

Dear CULLINAN,

This is making me anxious now. My 19 year old son is part of my same application because he was granted leave to UK in 2015 with me as a child. Also he is not living alone- he lives with me, single and dependent on me. Points 135-138 on the guidance below says same. Also I checked on the forum before and I was told my 2 dependent children ( aged 19 and 14 ) can be added on to my SET(O) application as SET(O) Child. IS this correct?

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... 8-2020.pdf

First Query:

I assume I dont have to create a separate application form for my 19 year old dependent son. PLEASE CAN ONE OF THE SENIORS CLARIFY?

Second Query:

TO I have to submit documents proving my son is living with me. so in that case can I submit scanned copies of my 19 year old sons bank statement and his UK provisional Driving licence. Both these documents have our home address on it. Is this enough? Kindly clarify. I am submitting today

Thanks,
newuser79
