Was the child born BEFORE you got PR/Settled Status/ILR or AFTER??If the child is abroad they are asking for passport HO.
Can I send it from Europe to UK via DHL or I can apply without passport and just explain that he is not in the country and went abroad for several months? Like visiting family members?

Yes, a UK born child has an entitlement to register as British, so you can apply regardless of where the child currently lives. The child will need to attend a biomteric appointment too.
You need proof of a parents PR/Settled Status or ILR to be able to register the child.
