Hi CULLINAN,

I checked the email address is correct. Also checked spam folder and found nothing

But UKVCAS twice confirmed he will be able to book appointments from 21st

I am starting to think if anything wrong with his application

we uploaded the following: used SET(O) form

1- My passports and Biometrics
2- His passports and Biometrics
3- LIUK and SELT B1 pass certificate
4- Bank statement for last 2 months ( same address as mine )
5- Driving licence copy ( provisional )
6- letter from his school ( for address proof - same as mine )
7- water bill ( same address as mine )

Did I miss anything mandatory? Kindly clarify

Do I have to keep a letter of absence from UK? he traveled once outside UK in Oct 2015 for 8 weeks. Thats it, no more travel since Oct 2015.

Thanks,
newuser79

Documents have no connection with the appointment access.
I fail to understand why he has not been given access to the booking system as yet. Lets wait till Monday and hope for the best....

Your documents for child 18+ are fine as stated above. I am assuming by “biometrics”, you mean passport bio page?

No absence letter is needed.
Good to go.

There is some problem. You should keep contacting UKVCAS and force them to fix this. He should have given access to the booking system way earlier.

Ok- I am chasing them. I am on a call with them now on hold for over 55 mins.

Or Should i contact UKVI?

Tomorrow I am planning to take my 18+ old son aswell for my appointment and try/request if they can also take his biometrics. I know chances are very slim but want to give it a try

any suggestions please let me know ?

Thanks!

No need to contact UKVI, contact UKVCAS via twitter DM/call.

I dont think they will allow him unless he has got a booking confirmation.

Hello CULLINAN,

I waited for 4 hours on hold on the UKVCAS number and they never answered. Finally the call got disconnected automatically

I received reply to my DM saying everything is ok with my application and there is no issue. The reply said " I will look in to it within 1-2 working days. In the meantime please continue to check regularly for appointments"

I have been checking every one hour with no luck for appointment. I havent received any email as of now

Thanks!

Good Morning!!

Finally My son 18+ received email last night 10 pm to book an appointment. We have booked an appointment for next Tuesday in Birmingham for £199. Cheaper appointments were available for £69 from Oct 5th onwards but didnt want to take a chance given the fears of lockdown again

I attended my biometric appointment with my 15 yr old dependent. They didnt check anything except our passports. It went well. Ofcourse they didnt allow my 19 yr old dependent because he never received email until at that time

I emailed UKVACS yesterday morning- so may be its because of that. so Thank you very much expert CULLINAN for your help and advice.

Now just waiting for my decision. I know there is a link to check our updated visa status. Can one of you please share it for me please

Thanks,
newuser79

Thanks very much !!

do UKVI get to see the documents before the Biometric appointment? would they let the applicants know if something is not OK with our application

Is it a right assumption that UKVI will only invite applicants for Biometrics if its going to be an approval? I was just wondering !!

Thanks!

Given the new submit feature, most likely your processing starts even before submitting biometrics. Dont worry your documents are complete.

If UKVI wants extra documents, they will write to you.

Biometrics is mandatory for everyone for the application to be valid. Everyone is called for biometrics. Decision is made on a later stage.

Hello Everyone,

My son's biometrics appointment was yesterday which was done successfully. We applied on 31st Aug 2020.

If he can get the ILR confirmation by next week Friday he can start his University. He already took a gap year and I dont want him to waste another year. Is there any chances of that happening. I know everyone's case is different but I saw people applied after me have received approvals. I was wondering if I can send an email to UKVI.

UKVCAS tweeted asking us to contact UKVI if we need an urgent decision. Do you think UKVI will consider my request if I give the reason about start of university and if it will make any difference?

Seniors kindly advice!

Thanks,
newuser79

Most likely it won't stimulate the process although no harm in trying whilst having a plan B. Also, given the exponential rise rate of virus at/around educational establishment such request might not carry any weight.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

The problem is that your son’s application will only be accepted if yours is accepted first.
However, you can test your luck by writing a cover letter and request to escalate all your applications due to your son starting university soon. Add a cover letter, all your Case IDs/UAN and provide evidence for that.
You can email also but I would advise,
Send via recorded delivery to:

Tier 2 General ILR (I am assuming you are on Tier 2?)
UK Visas and Immigration
PO Box 3468
Sheffield
S3 8WA
