Hi,
I’m new to this and first post.
I am hoping to begin my Husbands Visa application next month if he passes the English test.
I am currently receiving carers allowance and hence going down the adequate maintenance route.
I’m using my universal credit as part of the Income to evidence adequate Maintenance (AM), but I've only had it for last 6 months, and it was a varied amount for first 2 months and then same up till now. Even the lowest amount given is enough to make up for the AM, because I’m adding child benefit and carers allowance as income.
The guidance FM SE says:
10(f) To evidence UK Maternity Allowance, Bereavement Allowance, Bereavement Payment and Widowed Parent’s Allowance:
(i) Department for Work and Pensions documentation confirming the person or their partner is or was in receipt of the benefit in the 12-month period prior to the date of application.
(ii) personal bank statements for or from the 12-month period prior to the date of application showing the income was paid into the person’s account.
Does that mean I have to have been receiving universal credit throughout the last 12 months?? Or just need to submit 12 month bank statements even though only got UC for last 6 months. I used to get child tax credit before that and it was much lower but got swapped over. Same for carers allowance only started getting that for last few months.
I really need this confirmed otherwise, Will I have to wait till another 6 months of UC payments? Hope I’m wrong.
I have 2 British born children.
Could someone please correct my calculations if I’m wrong.
A= £276 (UC+CB+CA)
B= £0 (living with parents)
C= £290.84 (£116.80 couple +£17.60 family premium +£68.27 x 2 = £136.54 (2 children) +£37.50 Carers premium)
£276 - £290.84 = -£14.84 (Shortfall can be met from savings.)
14.84 x 143= £2330 (I have more than that in my account for past 6 months)
Have I missed anything on the C part? Is Child benefit added to that too?
Could someone please clarify If this is correct?
Thank you.
