Possible to study PT while working FT on a Work Permit ?

As title, want to get people's advice on the following question : Is it possible to study part time (for a degree course) while working full time on a Work Permit.

To explain in more detail, my current job is in a rather specialised area of engineering. However the course I want to do is a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL/CPE) followed by the LPC, which will lead to the award of an LLB degree. Am I right in thinking there aren't any restrictions on what you can study part time or does it have to be specifically restricted to your area of expertise.

Just wanted to clarify really, don't want it to cause an issue when I apply for my ILR in a few years time. I've fired off an email to the Work Permits Team anyway (waiting for a reply), but though it best to double check here if anyone has come across this situation before.

Thanks, that is what I am leaning towards, but just want to be 100% sure before I start the course as don't want it to get messy later. Been trying to get in touch with the WP team on the phone, no luck so far

Does anyone have any information on what IS allowed for WP holders. Been searching on Google for hours, but nothing has come up yet, all I get is what WP holders are not allowed to do.
