Does my son need to do an english test?

Hello everyone,
My son is already 18 years old.
He will be applying to British citizenship soon.
We were granted ILR under the EU settlement scheme for just over a year now.
We have been living in the Uk for 10 years, since my son was 9. He did primary, secondary school and now finishing his A levels.
Does he still need to take the english test in order to apply for citizenship?
How about the life in he UK test?

Any advice would be much appreciated
