Child is the applicant not you. You are filling the form on behalf of the child but fill as per child’s details.
Is the checklist asking for it??bravopapa wrote: ↑Sun Jan 03, 2021 1:04 pmIs Countersignatory needed when applying for first child passport outside the UK?
The rule states that the countersignatory must hold a British, Irish, EU, US or Commonwealth
passport which has not run out. Where am I supposed to find that person if i live outside Europe,UK, commonwealth and UK?
I have no sight of the overseas passport application. As of my understanding the identity is confirmed online. Counter signatory is usually needed for paper applications (I could be wrong?). You should follow the next steps as indicated by the online checklist and do not follow the paper guidance.bravopapa wrote: ↑Sun Jan 03, 2021 1:54 pmThank you for your reply.
I think so. Please check page 15.

I hope i am understanding this wrong
Applying from abroad is a paper form, not online.
Ops.. Thanks for the correction. Apologies @bravopapa.
bravopapa wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 1:15 pmDear all,
I apologize because i have asked this question before but i still seem to be confused
I am BC other than by descent ( was naturalised in the UK in 2018).
My daughter was born outside the UK this December 2020.
I am looking to apply for her British passport. What should I do?
1- Use the link below?
https://www.gov.uk/overseas-passports
The link does not give me the option to apply for her passport, unless I am wrong.
2- Or should i fill the MN1 form
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... 1-guidance
Please advise. Thanks very much
Why does the op have to register the child as British first????
Ahh My bad! apologies!
