Hi Cullinan,

In the thread "Naturalisation application processing timelines (only)", so many people mentioned that they have got "acknowledgement" after submitting the application.

What kind of acknowledgement do we receive after submitting the application?

Note: I recently submitted the application, but I didn't receive any acknowledgement apart from payment confirmation.

It is an automated generated email with Case ID on. Not everyone receives it. Sometimes the email is not pushed through due to technical issues. I myself did not receive any. No issues.

I started my recently submitted application back in Jan 2019 but submitted in Jan 2020. Do you think any problems in this case?

Previously I have limited company (after ILR) and was a director too and closed it before applying citizenship. I have mentioned my limited company details in the application. Do I need to provide any self-assessment document provided by accountant?

If you do not pay tax through Pay As You Earn (PAYE) arrangements, we require the most recent HM Revenue & Customs Self-Assessment Statement of Account.
